December 2002 - USA - Mississipi - (Checked Feb 2005)

Ole Miss campus - two black students were targetted by racists. It turned out the racists were in fact three other black students who had staged a racist hoax. This happenned while the university was commemorating the arrival of its first black student, in 1962.

October 2002 - Europe - UK (added feb 25th 2005) 

Hemashu Patel, a 21 year old Art Student, stabbed his father 15 times, his mother 7 times and he strangled his sister. Then he procedeed to scrawl racists graffitis on the walls of his family'shome to stage a race attack. The british police was not fooled for long.

October 2002 - USA - Idaho - (Checked Feb 2005)

This one is particularly vile ! In Boise, Azad Abdullah, claimed his family had been targetted by a hate crime because he was muslim. It turned out it was just a rumor he planted to cover up an arson he had set to kill his wife, who died in the fire, as well as to burn alive two of his own kids...

September 2002 - USA - North Carolina - (Checked Feb 2005)

Jealynn Sealey, a black woman, has been condemned to 6 month in jail for staging a racist hoax. In order to get insurance money, she had burnt her own car in her driveway and had painted racist slurs on her house.

Neighbours had collected donations for her and a protest march had been organised to denounce racism. Of course, there has been no march organised to protest her slanders aginst white people.

On the 1st anniversary of the WTC terrorist attack - (Checked Feb 2005)

USA - Utah Salt Lake City - it was supposed to be the fist anti-arab hate crime in Salt Lake city but it turned out Mazhar Tabesh had set his motel on fire himself. Many evidences led the police to that conclusion and they arrested him on September 11, 2002.

The police claims the day of the arrest is merely a coincidence...

August 2002 - USA - Nevada - (Checked Feb 2005)

Racist slurs were painted on the walls of a house where a black couple lived. This put a lot of stress on the neighborrood. then it turned out it was staged because the couple, who had moved in the house on a sales agreement, had changed their minds, but the woman wanted to stay and meant to do some subtle racial blackmail.

July 2002 - USA - New Jersey - (Checked Feb 2005)

Township - a black teenage girl who didn't like her school, because there weren't enough minorities and wanted her mother to send her elsewhere staged a racist hoax by sending herself and her friends some racist notes. Camera surveillance revealed the truth

April 2002 - USA - Alaska - (Checked Feb 2005)

Anchorage - Nezar Mike Maad claimed he had been victim of an anti-arab hate crime because his shop had been trashed and someone had painted "we hate arabs". People collected thousands of dollars for him. Yet the FBI dropped its investigation on a hate crime and... begun an investigation for various counts of frauds...

August 2002 - USA - Texas - (Checked Feb 2005)

Texarcana - a black woman, Camille Fulton, claimed she had been kidnapped, beaten up by some Ku Klux Klan members who had carved KKK on her skin. The police became suspicious because The KKK letters were carved like a mirror image. She had lied all the way and landed herself in jail...

December 2001 - USA - Kansas - (Checked Feb 2005)

Kansas city - Several african-american buschool drivers received racists letters. it turned out the letters had been mailed by one of their black co-worker, Lee Hooker-Medlock.

October 2001 - USA - Tennessee (Checked Feb 2005)

Nashville - Aquil Yassom Al-Timimi claimed some racists had set his car on fire. Police and firemen were suspicious because the first thing he asked when they came was wether the media had been called and, when he learned they hadn't do it, he rushed to call them himself. It turned out the car that had been set on fire had an insurance policy on it while his other car, that was not set on fire but merely was damaged as the fire spread, had no insurance to it. No lighting material was found on the scene. No one was seen in the area.

October 2001 - Arizona (Checked Feb 2005)

Arizona State University - a few days after the WTC destrution, Ahmad Saad Nasim, a student at ASU, staged a racist hoax, claiming he had been attacked by students who pushed him to the ground, threw eggs at him then said "die muslim die". He was caught a few days later attempting to stage another racist hoax.

June 2001 - Europe - UK

Chris Cotter, a white man, was sentenced for stagging a Fake hate crime. He claimed he was stabbed three times in the back, slashed in the head and kicked and punched by a racist gang for going out with black athlete Ashia Hansen. The whole thing was a plot he organized with 2 friends:Craig Wynn, another white man, and Surjit Singh Clair, an asian (in the UK, "asian" means from the indian sub-continent). Prior to the fake race attack, they had mailed vile race-hate mail - purporting to come from far-right group called WANO.

May 2001 - USA - Texas (Checked Feb 2005)

Dallas - At 10PM on the eve of a senate debate on a hate crime bill, St. Luke United Methodist church was targeted by vandalism and somebody painted a swastika on its windows. This sparked outraged: the Law, which was at first likely to be defeated, was passed and the governor of Texas rushed to sign the bill. It turned out the black pastor of that church had done much lobbying for the bill. The type of paint used for the vandalism was stored in the chuch itself and two witnesses actually saw a black youth painting the graffities...

How convenient to create a hate crime when one needs it !

December 2000 - France (Checked Feb 2005)

In May 2000, in Vauvert, a small town in the south of France, North African youths rioted and held the city hostage for several days, threatening people and burning cars. An old man lost it and shot at the youths yet killed no one. Then, a couple of days later, Joel Elie, a white man, saw a north african youth approaching his car at four a.m and shot him dead.

Attorneys from SOS Racisme, the french equivalent of the NAACP, came to town and claimed the killing had been motivated by racial hatred. They had witnesses who claimed they heard Joel Elie scream racist slurs before shooting. A media campaign against Joel Elie was launched: why, everybody asked, was Joel Elie awake at four a.m with a gun in his hand. Of course, no one asked what Mounir Oubajja was doing at Four a.m around someone else's car.

In decembre 2000, Some media relayed the claim that the shooting was race-related while, at the door of the courtroom, SOS Racisme north african activists assembled to form a small Lynch mob. Meanwhile, during the trial, the witnesses recanted one after the other. They admitted they had heard nothing and they said that SOS-Racisme's lawyers had actually put the pressure on them to do false statements. Later, these attorneys were condemned to pay up to 100 000 Francs to the Defense lawyers of Joel Elie in damages.

November 2000 - Germany (Checked Feb 2005)

Sebnitz - a Germano-Turkish couple, Saad Abdulla and Renate Kantelberg claimed that some Neo Nazi Skinheads had killed their boy, Joseph Abdulla. They said the boy had been no less that drugged, electrocuted then drowned in a swimming pool while around them, 200 germans had stood indifferent.

It later turned out the mother had paid witnesses to make false testimonies. One of the persons she accused of murdering the boy was the daughter of a local pharmacist, whose business was a competition for the abdullah's, who were also pharmacists.

Italie, Verona - Luis Marsiglia, a Uruguay Born Jewish teacher converted to catholicism claimed he had been assaulted by anti-semite neo-Nazis. It turned out had had beaten himself with a piece of wood and scratched himself himself with a iron bar

UK - Ashley Kane, a charity worker, claimed he had been set on fire by white racists. In fact, he had burned himself while trying to set his car on fire to scam insurances compagnies...

UK - In Berinsfield, OxfordShire, Chris Barton, a mixed race youth claimed four white men had attacked him and set him on fire with lighter while screaming racial slurs. In fact, he had burned himself when he set a stolen car on fire.

Hasting - -Winfred L. Stafford, a 24 year old blackman, claimed he had been kidnapped by racists who threatened Him and dumped him several miles out of town by night. Eventually, the Hasting Police department found out this was a completely fabricated story

March 2000 - USA - IOWA (Checked Feb 2005)

University of Iowa, dental school campus - Minority students received threats from a so called "minorityrid comittee". Tarsha Claiborne, a black woman who had claimed she felt threatened was the person who actually sent the messages.

2000 / 2001- Europe - France

France - Year 2000 / 2001 - For several monthes, SOS Racisme, a anti-racist non profit arganisation, launched a campaign against "racial profiling" at the doors of french night clubs. That campaign truly became a white bashing and a witch hunt as the association claimed tens or hundred of french clubs were actually keeping out Arabs and Blacks. Of course, it was perfectly Okay to generalise that all french club owners were "racists"

The overwelming majority of the lawsuits had no results. In one case, the club owner showed up in the courtroom with her black husband and her adopted north african daughter... So long for racism...

May 1999 - USA - Winsconsin (added feb 16th 2005)

Brown Deer - At Brown Deer Middle School, a racially charged hit list was found which listed 10 Blacks students. It turned it was one of those Black student who had written it. The police found his fingerprints on the paper alltough he said he had never touched the note. The letter said, "If you are friends with any of these people . . . please say goodbye to them because today, May 3rd, will be there last day, at 12:00 p.m., they will all go down in front of everyone. With these people gone, the white race can live a much happier life."

May 1999 - USA - illinois - (Checked Feb 2005)

Chicago - Angela Jackson, is condemned for trying to fraud UPS out of thousands of dollars. She scrawled racial epitets on parcels to lay the blame on white people.

April 1999 - USA - Texas - (added 10 february 2005)

IHouston - James Frederick Green, an african american, staged the burglary of his baytown home, at 7515 Seminole, then spray painted racial slurs, including an image of a stick figure attached to the back of a car with a rope on its neck He made an insurance claim. In 2001, he burnt the house and made a second insurance claim. Eventually, he was arrested in 2004 because he helped another african american to stage another racist hoax. The police found the item he claimed had been stolen in his new house

March 1999 - USA - Washington - (Checked Feb 2005)

Spokane Community College - a student paper published a racist letter signed by "whitey". It turned out the letter had been made up by the staff.

August 1998 - USA - Ohio (Checked and updated Feb 2005)

Oxford - racists and homophobic flyers were posted at Miami university. This triggered a demonstration and a black student activist group lauched a demonstration, halting traffic on roads. It turned out that Nathaniel Snow, the president of that black student activist group, along with another black guy, Brad M. Allen were suspected of posting the fliers themselves as fingerprints on the flyers were theirs.

Update Feb 2005 - However, they were not found guilty. Read both articles and make up your own mind !

  • 02 Septembre 1999 - The Enquirer.com - Ex-Miami students declare innocence - State crime lab experts matched 87 percent of the fingerprints on the fliers to Messrs. Snow and Allen, said Cathryn House, university safety director and chief of police.

Poughkeepsie - Al sharpton, Alton Maddox Junior and C. Vernon, three black racists politicians are condemned by a tribunal for diffamation. They had accused a white former prosecutor, Steven Pagones, to have raped a young black teenager, Tawana Brawley in the early eighties. The teen had claimed she had been raped by white law enforcers. It turned out she had been lying

June 1998 - USA - Louisiana - (Checked Feb 2005)

ISlidell - Cornelius Weaver, a drug dealer, pretends he has been the victim of a date crime to cover up a drug deal gone wrong. he fingerpoints at white people. He pretends to have been dragged by a car. That story was made up the same week a black man who had really been dragged to death by a car by white racist was burried.

November 1997 - USA - North Carolina (listed february 15th 2005) 

At Duke University, A black doll was found lynched from a tree with a sign that said "Duke hasn't changed". A ABC news crew was there right away along with journalists, officials, while the Black Student Alliance staged a protest and presented a list of demands. One week later, 2 black males turned themselves in to the University claiming responsibility for the hanging. The individuals said that they staged the mock-lynching to make a political statement-not to create a scene that many University administrators and employees perceived as a hate crime.

August 1997 - USA - Georgia - (Checked Feb 2005)

IJonesboro - Sandra Benson and Freeman Berry, an interracial couple, stages a hate crime, painting swastika on their home to fingerpoint whites, then burn their home to collect the insurance money.

March 1997 - USA - Pennsylvania - (Checked Feb 2005)

Matthew Porter, a blackman, stages a hate crime fingerpointing at white people, while he tried to scam the insurance money.

July 1996 - USA - California (Checked Feb 2005)

Los Altos - A 17 years old Black youth claimed he had been assaulted in a Los Altos park. By white racists. In fact, The youth had been in a fist fight with another teen over gaining entrance at a party. their was no racial overtones to that fight.

April 1996 - USA - Maryland (Checked Feb 2005)

In Howard, In April 1996, Sonia James, a young black woman, staged a hate crime in order to collect insurance money. She handed out hate litterature in her neighborood and scrawled racist graphitti in her home, which she vandalized. She accused a family from her neighborood as the perpetrators. She wanted to fraud insurance compagnies. At first, hundreds pf people made donations to her.

Novembre 1995 - USA - North Dakota - (added 09 Feb 2005)

Fargo - Zhaleh Sarabakhsh, 38, an Iranian woman, told authorities her restaurant, the Kabob House Restaurant, had been set on fire during an attack following a series of harassments starting a month before when a group of white youths gathered outside the restaurant and hurled insults. On November 2, Sarabakhsh admitted to purchasing the items, setting the fire, cutting herself with a knife to make the arson appear to be a hate crime, and sending the threatening letters to the restaurant.

December 1990 - USA - Washinton State, (Checked Feb 2005)

Seattle - Darres Park, 23, who is of Korean and Chinese heritage, claimed that he was beaten by racists outside a First Avenue nightclub in front of a crowd of cheering spectators. Sgt. Bob Vane, whose unit investigates hate crimes, said the fight was between Park and another man - not six baseball-bat carrying skinheads.
